I meant to do a post last night but sat down on my bed to relax for a minute and fell asleep. Oopsy!

I didn’t quite make my goal for the week (194.0 lbs) but I’m pretty close, so I’ll take it! Goal for next week, 192 lbs.

I will be doing a video tonight after the gym. Topics to be covered are listed below… It’s probably going to be a long one because we all know how much I like to talk! ๐Ÿ™‚

  • New Goals for the week
  • New Gym Membership and first and second work outs at the “new” gym
  • Running and EIA (exercise induce asthma)
  • Update on eating ability. What I can and cannot eat at 12 weeks out.
  • Shopping, my new addiction
  • What I did in the last week: graduation, Thunder from Down Under, cookout, trampoline, etc
  • Dealing with attention post-op

I am so excited about finally being in Onederland! I haven’t been here since like 2005-ish. It’s insane. I feel so great. Truthfully, I would be happy if I stayed this weight… but my goal for myself is 150. Surgeon’s goal is 130.

Watch the video for more updates. ๐Ÿ™‚

Week 9: Weigh In Wednesday and 2 Month Surgaversary

Hello everyone! Sorry it’s a tad bit late but here it is. ๐Ÿ™‚ I didn’t quite make Onederland this week but that’s ok because I made my 50 lb mark which is just enough reason to celebrate. Woohoo! I missed Motivational Monday and my Two Month surgaversary this week since I didn’t get home until really late that day. So, I’m going to do a Two Month post here too – check out my video below for all the dets!

Highest Weight (Jan 3, 2013): 251.6 lbs

Day of Surgery (Mar 6, 2013): 231.5 lbs

Nine Weeks Post-Op (May 07, 2013): 201.4 lbs

Total loss of: 50.2 lbs

I made this photo below from a picture on New Years 2013 and a picture from this weekend at the toy store. For those of you who are my friends on Facebook, you may have already seen it. But here is the comparison from where I started and where I’m at so far. I still have another 50-70 lbs to lose but I am happy with the progress so far. ๐Ÿ™‚ By the way, I totally love Cookie Monster… I think we were twins separated at birth. Haha.

Weight loss is not an easy journey. No matter how you do it, it’s a struggle every day. Along the way you don’t really feel the change… but looking back, you can see it.
Down 50lbs since January but still have a long way to go to reach my goal. Chipping away a little at a time.

Month 2 Surgaversary: Taken on 5/08/13
Check out Month 1 and Pre-Op Photos.

Sorry this post is so short… Continuing my mound of grad school work. Once this class is finished and if I pass (please dear God, let that happen) then I graduate with my master’s degree in a few weeks! Woohoo! Can’t wait. Wish me luck!

3.1 lbs until Onederland! I cannot wait. I’m shooting for that next week.

Week 7: Weigh In Wednesday

Highest Weight (Jan 3, 2013): 251.6 lbs

Day of Surgery (Mar 6, 2013): 231.5 lbs

Seven Weeks Post-Op (Apr 24, 2013): 206.4 lbs

Total loss of: 45.2 lbs

This week has been an exciting and great week for me. First off, my best friend Sarah K. had a beautiful baby girl on Saturday, April 20. She is just so beautiful and sweet and perfect. I am so happy for Sarah and her husband Rob. They deserve all the happiness in the world!

Second good thing is my amazing weight loss this week. I lost exactly 4 lbs which is HUGE for me. I was so shocked, especially since I have not had the time to walk as much. I’m thrilled with that number. I hope I can keep it up. I am the lowest I’ve been since right after high school. Probably around 2005 (I graduated in 2004). And I am so close to Onderland, I can smell victory! ๐Ÿ™‚ I’m hoping by week 8 I reach it.

And the third thing… Tomorrow I go for my 7 week check up to see if I am cleared to do more exercises than just walk. I’m sure I’ll be ok. I ran a little the other day and was so proud of myself but this spring time allergy season is killing me. I may have to take my runs in doors until the pollen season has died down.

Oh yea! I went to target and bought a zip-up athletic jacket/shirt and it was in a size LARGE!!! Holy cow! Never did I think I’d see that size again in my adult life. Eeeek! I’m so excited.

Week 5: Post Op & Surgery Scars

Hi everyone! So I know I told you I’d have a video showing my scars before hand but it just didn’t work out. They didn’t show up so great in this one either. But still here they are. ๐Ÿ™‚

Highest Weight (Jan 3, 2013): 251.6 lbs

Day of Surgery (Mar 6, 2013): 231.5 lbs

Five Weeks Post-Op (Apr 10, 2013): 214.3 lbs

Total loss of: 37.3 lbs

Getting so close to 40 lbs lost! I cannot wait.

On another note, I’m in such a great mood. Life has been good these days. Summer is coming, I’m the smallest I’ve been in like 4 years, school is almost over, work is settling down, and my personal life is just peachy! The only thing that would make it all better is if I had more vacation days at work. Lol. Anyways, I LOVE you all! ๐Ÿ™‚
